Why would the programmers at Canvas not allow for editing directly on the SpeedGrader pages? If someone has a class of 50, the time spent grading can seem endless and every little disruption to the workflow adds time to an already lengthy process. When I submit a comment with a typo, it is a real inconvenience to have to go into a completely different section to edit that comment when a simple programming tag could permit text editing directly on this page.

Yes, if I want to click on the pencil and go into the full field, I could do this, but it would be great to have a decent-sized field that you can edit without an additional click in order to review the answer. Even a 100-character field would be an improvement.

I have this question as well. I have not selected "Randomize Answers" and yet the dropdown menu is always randomized. It is very frustrating when you are asking students to select from a sequential list when the sequence keeps changing. This seems like an easy fix to make.

This is a critical element to many online courses that are self-paced. I will not reveal answers until after the deadline for obvious reasons which is why I found that feature so useful in the Old Quiz set-up. This is really essential and should be prioritized for the New Quiz feature.

Just got this error now after accessing a New Quiz in the speed grader function. It moved to the next student in the right window pane, but the quiz remained on the prior student. Then it gave me this error.

Also...what does this mean? This needs to be clarified in your tutorial as I do not know what is meant by "regular expressions."
Specify Correct Answers [4]: Specifies that each acceptable response use regular expressions for a custom match.

Yes, the case-sensitive aspect of the New Quizzes is really annoying. Does anyone count an answer wrong because of a capitalization issue, especially in the age of email, texts and tweets? The "close enough" algorithm is a bit confusing. I'd like to see a simple box in the exact answer selection that says "ignore case" so I don't need to complicate the issue.

I agree. This seems like an easy coding fix. I'd like to be able to order quizzes by where they are in the curriculum, rather by due date or the arbitrary alphabetical order.

I have the same need. I want to attach a .pdf document in the instructions of a timed quiz using the New Quiz format, but there does not seem to be an option for this. It would seem to be an easy fix, but I'm not a programmer. I absolutely believe this is a big need for many of us.

I'm using Intuos by waicom and it interacts with the speedgrader pen annotation tool, but there is an annoying checkmark and box that appears when you make the first mark. If you don't click the check, nothing saves. This adds to the clunkiness when using any stylus. I really hope that future Canvas upgrades enhance stylus functionality in the Speedgrader section.
