When uploading a student CSV file to Canvas, we get an "Invalid UTF-8" error if any row has characters such as í or ñ in the name fields. Notepad++ indicates the file is UTF-8. Are these characters not valid UTF-8? Is there any way to upload files containing these characters, using some other markup or encoding? I apologize since I'm sure this has been brought up before, but I'm having trouble finding it being discussed.

We have been testing adding email addresses using the Canvas API in our test environment. I found that I'm unable to delete certain email addresses using the UI and acting as a user, even when the email address is not set as the default. I don't have a need to delete email addresses at this time, but I am just wondering why this would happen. If I'm unable to delete an email address using the UI, even when it is not set as the default, can I delete the communications channel using the API?

@garth I know it's 5 years later, but I wanted to say your code still works great! I incorporated it into an MVC .Net Core application with a web UI front end. I tested it with getCourtseDetails and it works. I hope to be able to add communication channels commands. Everything is so well organized and self explanatory in the code. It was intimidating at first, but it all eventually made sense to me. I really appreciate the time and work you put into this project. Thank you.

We just reinstalled CanvasDataCLI on a machine where it was previously installed under a different account. After the install, the command CanvasDataCli is still unrecognized. I then ran the installer under a "NodeJS Comand Prompt" and found that it worked, but only when using CanvasDataCli with the NodeJs Command prompt. Has anyone run into this or have any idea? Is this a PATH issue? We would like to use CanvasDataCli using Task Scheduler, but I'm not sure how to run batch files from Task Scheduler using the NodeJS Command prompt.

Is it possible to add an email address using the SIS Import tool? In my tests it seems to only overwrite the current default email address. (Also, all the notification options were turned off, when we would like to have them turned on.) I may be confused because this respondent states, "SIS Import of a CSV file will only let you add one email or change an existing one." https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Question-Forum/Uploading-multiple-email-addresses-via-CSV-upload/m-p/54988 Otherwise, is the only option to use the REST API to work with communications channels? Or can communication channels be modified using SIS imports? A few notes: The added email should become the default. It seems obvious, but the email should only be added if it does not already exist. If the email already exists, it should be made the default.
