On several assignment types, students have to first click "submit" to open the assignment and begin working. Then they click submit again when they actually want to submit the assignment. This is confusing for high school students and younger. Please consider changing the first button to "Start Assignment" or "Open Assignment." And then retain the "Submit" button for when the student actually wants to submit.

I'm having the same issue! It is most definitely an audio recording be made (right there in the RCE itself). The playbox being produced is different now, however. It is MUCH too big. They need to revert to the old playbox.

Comment to give more attention to this question. The new audio recording playbox is MUCH too big. We need the old playbox to come back...that one actually got smaller when students used it. This (above) is a "NO" Canvas... This (above) is a "YES."
