I am trying to add students to my course. However, "Student" is not listed as one of the roles in the add users window (see attached image). Does anyone know how to add the "Student" role to the options?

Hi @aschwartzbaum 
I strongly suspect that your school has restricted instructor permission to add students to courses. Many schools, including my own, have done so. Also, most schools populate their enrollments automatically through an integration with the school's Student Information System (SIS).
I would suggest contacting your school's Canvas Admin/Support department for assistance.
