Scenario: Assignments category is hidden. Instructor has 6 assignment groups and multiple assignments in each group, all worth 100 points. Each assignment group is weighted anywhere from 5% to 30%. How does a student tell if Assignment A, worth 100 points, is in the category weighed at 5% or 30%?
This can easily be accomplished by a transparent syllabus and directions, but I was looking more for a tag or label. For example, when a student clicks on Assignment A, the category would be displayed at the top alongside total points and due date.

What a great question, @zal5010 ! In all the years I've been using weighted assignment groups, I never thought of this. So, I checked Student View and saw that, on a browser at least, when a student navigates to the Grades tab and hovers over an assignment title, the assignment group displays directly underneath. And, of course, the weightings for each group are listed at the bottom of the grades list.
