[ARCHIVED] Alternative rubric designs: Current or future support?

What level of support does Canvas provide for alternative rubric designs? In our courses, we use a rubric where all criteria are graded on a uniform scale, with each criterion then weighted and organised into "sections," which are groups of thematically related criteria. Each section receives its own grade, based on the weighted sum of scores for that section, and the assignment grade overall is given the weighted sum of scores across all the criteria. We've found that this system works quite well for our purposes, but at the moment it looks like the rubric features in Canvas are not compatible with this design. Are there are any plans to allow for alternative methods of designing a rubric within Canvas?

Instructure does work with individual colleges to build specific tools.  You'd need to contact your representative about getting a quote.
