If I make an announcement to my class before publishing the canvas site, will they still receive the announcement?

Hello, @slnichol Welcome to the Canvas Community! Students will not receive announcements or receive notifications of any type from an unpublished course. That's emphasized in the blue box at the top of https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10405-415250731
