[ARCHIVED] Assignment won't copy to Modules

Canvas is not letting me copy my assignment into my modules.  It was working this morning, then I discovered an error in an assignment.  Since I have the same coursework for multiple periods, I only edited one.  I deleted the incorrect assignments from the other periods' modules so I could copy the corrected one to them.

No matter how many times I try it, it doesn't work  I have restarted Canvas and my computer, but it hasn't fixed the problem.

It won't even copy over a brand new version of the assignment that I made.

Does anyone have an idea of what am I doing wrong?

Hi Jennifer,

Yesterday I was helping someone who had multiple courses set up in FFT and was trying to copy content from one course to another.  I tried importing directly from the receiving course and that generated an error.  So then I tried downloading a course export from the originating course and importing that into the receiving course which also generated an error.  Third I tried going into the originating course and to the options for the content item she wanted to duplicate (a page in that case) and sending it to the receiving course.  That worked - labor intensive but it worked.
