I needed to adjust the due date for one student to complete an assignment, which I know how to do, but for some reason I messed it up today. I changed the assignment for everyone, but most of the kids had already turned it in. How do I get back to see the assignments that the kids already turned in?
If you only changed the due date, those submissions should still be there. You should be able to go to the speedgrader and find them waiting for you. The submission date is posted at the top of the right-hand column.
I have done this, and then corrected myself by adding the new date for the single student, and putting everyone back to the original due date. I believe it automatically corrected the application of the late policy when I corrected the due date.
I'm off to try this. 🙂
It didn't work. 😞
If the submissions are missing you might need help from canvas support to find them. They would not have been removed by changing the due date of the existing assignment. (You didn't actually delete the assignment and make a replacement for everybody, right)
I don't think so because it says in the pink text box that I have student submissions. Thank you for trying to help me!!! This is our first year using canvas and our district didn't provide us with training. It is all pretty crazy!
the exact same thing happened to me - what is the solution???
