Is there a way to take attendance for the same roster in Canvas more than once a day?

Hi Chris,

Thank you for the information, but it doesn't answer my question: 

My course has a morning session and an afternoon session. I would like to be able to input attendance for the morning and afternoon sessions separately so that if, for example, someone is absent during the morning and present during the afternoon, the attendance can reflect that. I'm wondering if there is a way to do that. Right now it doesn't allow me to delineate between the sessions. If I change someone's attendance to reflect their afternoon status, it gets rid of what I marked for the morning.

One of my fellow Canvas Coach colleagues,  @rmurchshafer ‌, mentioned to me that what you are seeking isn't possible with the Canvas Attendance tool...but highly desirable.  There is a third-party product called Qwickly | Multi-Course Tools, Cloud Integration and Attendance Building Block for Blackboard that integrates with Canvas. There is a separate cost for this product, however.

ericwerth‌, another Canvas Coach colleague, mentioned the product Student Attendance Tracking with aPlus+ Attendance which also has a Canvas integration.

I know nothing about either of these products, so you may have to ping either Rick or Eric if you want to know more about them.

Our campus began using the Qwickly integration to take attendance last semester. The version of Qwickly we use only allows attendance to be taken once a day.

Taking attendance more than once a day through Qwickly may be a feature that is available at additional cost or upgrade, so you will want to make sure to discuss that with a Qwickly Rep. before proceeding with it as a solution.
