How do I autograde an essay question in a Graded Survey?

Hi Kristy,

By virtue of being a Graded Essay, just simply by submitting, the person will receive the point.  It doesn't matter if the answer is "correct" or "incorrect".  With a Graded Survey it just means they are getting points for participating.

That said, essay questions cannot be read by the technology and evaluated -- so you would have to read each essay response. 

So just create a Quiz, and in the Quiz settings, select Graded Survey.   Then start adding the questions, including the Essay Question.
