Hi Canvas Admins, is there a way that I can create a Template for courses that will be automatically used every time a course is created? For example, I would like all courses to have information about Student Support services automatically built in to the course.
I don't want to have to share this through Commons hundreds of times every semester, or to depend on the good will of the instructor who may or many not remember to look for it in Commons -- what I would like is for certain content to be an automatic part of every course that is created at my institution. Is there some way that this can be done?
@gabriel_martine , here are some resources related to your question that you might find helpful:
Hope this helps!
We created a course called Help and Resources, which covers student services info among other things. We used the Redirect app at the admin level to create a course navigation link for the Help and Resources course. We ensure that the link is visible in all of our course templates, but we've also made faculty aware that the link needs to remain visible in all of their semester courses.
@gabriel_martine , it looks like you've already received some solid responses, and since you've posed a question that doesn't necessarily imply a single correct answer, I've flipped the format of your post over to a discussion.
