[ARCHIVED] Automatically Updating Canvas Authentication

The scenario: We use Infinite Campus as our SIS. Students authenticate with Google/Clever to access Canvas. Teachers and staff use local Canvas authentication.

The problem: When Infinite Campus provisions the teacher/staff member to Canvas, they do not have the ability to change their password (or use Forgot Password).

Our Workaround: Every so often I download a users.csv report, update the authentication to "canvas" and now the staff can change their passwords.

My Question: Is there a way to automate this? I'm reading about discovery pages, but that seems like it more or less directs traffic, and doesn't automatically update the authentication.

That almost feels like a bug on Canvas' provisioning side. Have you contacted the support team?
