[ARCHIVED] Black Bar Across Top of Home Page

Hello,

Is there a way to change the black bar across the top of the home page?  Currently my course name is on it - I don't need to remove it, just wondering if I could make it wider, change the color, etc?

Also, there is a very large space between that and the text below it - I have tried everything and I can't reduce it - any suggestions for how to accomplish it and make it smaller? 

I took a snip of it which is below- the black line is quite thin, and then a large space, then I have some pictures, then another large space, and then my introduction to the class.

Good morning, @natsmy ...

That black bar is not a standard feature of Canvas.  I would recommend that you reach out to your school's local Canvas administrator or someone from your school's Online Learning/eLearning department to see if you can get further assistance on this.  It may just be some HTML code that you'd be able to modify in some way, but people at your school should be able to help you with this.  Good luck!
