[ARCHIVED] Broken links after material import even with Google Apps

I'm trying to help out a fellow instructor who has broken links in her course after copying a module from one section to the other.  Nothing works, not even links to material stored on Google Drive which shouldn't care which course is accessing it as long as the links are valid.  Is there a setting we're missing to help Canvas update its links automatically?  Nobody else is having this particular issue, so I feel like there is a simple workaround somewhere, something other than going in and reinserting every single link/connection every single time.
