Thanks so much. I realized when I wrote the post that it was a little rambling. This is exactly what I had in mind. As I was thinking about this whole topic, I also wondered if this wouldn't be especially useful for elementary school users as well.

I would find it helpful if there were an addition to the breadcrumbs at the top of the browser version of Canvas so I could go from a specific assignment back to the module it is housed in instead of having to click on Modules and then scroll back to the one in question.

When I was grading essays by hand, I had a collection of stamps that I used as shortcuts. The students would see the stamp and know immediately what grade consequence they'd received or what they needed to do with the assignment to fix it. It would be really useful to me if we could somehow upload gifs or pngs to some kind of file library (or import them from an online source) to add to assignments in SpeedGrader as a part of the grading process, something like the tags Turnitin's Feedback Studio will let you drag and drop but not limited to words and accessible in the app, not just the browser.

Renee, Thanks for the suggestion, but I frequently need for a whole class or many individuals at a time to be able to submit. I am hoping for one-step way to do that without having to tinker with the calendar settings.

Make it easy to lock and unlock assignments so if an instructor needs to reopen something briefly for a late submission, the multiple steps with the calendar aren't needed. I suggest a padlock icon near the assignment title or the due date that could just be clicked to open and close the assignment.

I'm trying to help out a fellow instructor who has broken links in her course after copying a module from one section to the other. Nothing works, not even links to material stored on Google Drive which shouldn't care which course is accessing it as long as the links are valid. Is there a setting we're missing to help Canvas update its links automatically? Nobody else is having this particular issue, so I feel like there is a simple workaround somewhere, something other than going in and reinserting every single link/connection every single time.
