Hello
Two buttons are showing as locks in student view - I have checked the copyright and usage rights. Still not unlocking and can't understand why. Any help gratefully appreciated. ![]()

Hi Michelle,
Just to add to what Emily already posted here; when you see a lock icon in place of an image when in student view this is almost always an issue with the access settings in your course files if that is where the image is stored. Do you have your images in sub-folders in your files? If so, are the sub-folders and images published?
Hi @michelle_breen ,
Thanks for your question! Where are you seeing the locks in Canvas? And please correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you are seeing the locks in relation to files? Are the items restricted by availability dates or unpublished?
Thanks!
Emily

I am having the same problem. I have checked and all my pictures and buttons show to be published. I didn't have any trouble with the buttons until the beginning of last week and now, any picture I upload shows up as a lock on the student side. The links work but the pictures are not there. I uploaded a picture today and inserted it into an assignment to show the students what to look for and it also shows up as a lock. Help!
