[ARCHIVED] CANVAS epub to pdf , LaTeX not rendered

When I export my course to ePub, I notice that the LaTex that appears rendered in a browser is  rendered in the ePub viewed with APPLE Books. Whe the ePub is converted to PDF (giving a compression of 12/200) with https://www.freepdfconvert.com/  , the LaTeX is tagged as LaTeX followed by the raw LaTeX. Is there a better converter that will produce rendered LaTex in the pdf?

I am not sure if this is related to a known issue or not. Do you happen to have some screenshots demonstrating the behavior you are seeing with the LaTex not being rendered correctly on the PDF? 

You might be able to have Canvas support look at your examples to see if they are aware of this issue. I did not see anything on this when I checked HERE.

I believe the issue you are encountering is due to the act the ePub files do not support Latex rendering.  Unfortunately, Canvas doesn't support ePub to pdf conversions or promote or endorse any tools for that conversion.  What might be a better option for you in this case would possibly downloading the course contents as HTML instead of as an ePub, this is covered here: How do I view course content offline as an HTML file as a student?
