[ARCHIVED] Can I create a link in a course to other courses?

I have been asked to create a template for our school’s new Canvas page for this year. In the event that we may have to do digital learning again due to COVID-19, our principal wants a common Canvas page for people to access for information. Is there a way to create links on this page/course to the individual courses for each grade level?

Hi Janet -

I think it's really neat that you're going to make a single resource for your teachers to access! It's a lot of work upfront, but I think it'll be very valuable in the long run.

With the linking, do you want to link the resource course out to the grade courses? (If yes, are those multiple courses or a single course-level template?) OR Do you want a link TO the resource course included in an unpublished resource within each new course shell teachers will use? (Teachers can access unpublished items, no matter what.)

Hey Kristin,

The principal’s vision is that we have 1 grade level page that connects to all the content areas. For example on our 4th grade team each teach is teaching a different content area (math, reading, science, social studies, and writing). Each teacher would have their own course for their subject. On the grade level super page the principal wants a link to each of those courses. That way we can also post our newsletters and parent information in a common location. I hope this helps explain it a little better. I’m looking forward to your response.
