I'm looking to add a module to my Canvas course that can only be accessed by a certain set of participants. Is there a way to keep a module open to some but closed to others? Thank you for any help with this!

Hi, @elwell --
Welcome to the Canvas LMS Community! I hope this answers your question.
Here are a few ways
- Use Sections. Section 1 (or whatever naming convention works for you) can see the restricted content, and Section 2 does not. You may need to discuss this with your LMS Administrator, as most 'sections' can be tied to institutional registration.
- Use Groups. If students are permitted to self-determine their access to the restricted content then the group could be set to self-enroll.
- Restrict certain files that are in specific modules. See this Canvas Guide on How do I restrict files and folders to students in Canvas?.
- Use MasteryPaths. Here are some resources pages from the Canvas Instructor Guides:
How do I add conditional content to a MasteryPath source item?
How do I allow a page to be a MasteryPath module item?
How do I use MasteryPaths in course modules?
How do I assign a conditional assignment for students to complete in MasteryPaths?
How do I view the MasteryPaths range breakdown results for an assignment?
Please let me know if this answers your question!
My best,
Jeanna
