[ARCHIVED] Can I mass change student roles to student-restricted ?

I need to change the student role to student-restricted on 400 student in one course. Is there a way to change them en mass?

Hello there, @barbara_brunts ...

I'm not sure if you are a Canvas administrator at your school or not, but this probably could be handled through an SIS import file.  If you are not a Canvas administrator at your school, you'd need to speak with someone at your school who is.  Also, the "student-restricted" role type isn't one of the "out of the box" roles that comes with Canvas, so your school may have created this additional role in your school's Canvas environment for a specific reason.
