I will be leaving the country for 11 days and was wondering if I can access my Canvas Courses overseas?

Hi  @benjaminangelbu  Welcome to the Canvas Community! Yes, you can access your Canvas courses anywhere decent internet service is available. Are you a student? If you are, I'd recommend that you set your time zone in your profile to correspond with the local time zone of wherever you find yourself at the moment; that way, the due dates and times in your courses will adjust to local time and you won't inadvertently miss a deadline. Hello, sorry but so far I have used push notifications weekly, so I do not know how to login with other systems, since my phone number does not work in the US but I will have my phone with me and I will be connected to the internet. I remember that I can generate codes with my duo app and maybe enter these codes?

Hi!

With the Canvas Student, Canvas Teacher, and Canvas Parent apps, you can get push notifications that are customized to your preferences. I find them to be very helpful and actually rely on them more than I do the email notifications for the important alerts.

Which role do you have in Canvas? Have you looked at the app? After you install, you can customize your settings for email and devices:

Hi, thanks for your reply. Ok , that is how I solved it: I reactivated a simcard from Spain and I registered this new phone on the duo app because this sim card also works here on roaming. Thus , I have guarantee that I will be authenticated in the duo app. because I try to figure out if with just internet connection (but the US simcard not working in Europe, it only works in the US, Mexico and Canada) if I could generate codes in order to get pass duo, and it does not work. So, good that I had this sim card with me and could reactivate from here. Otherwise, imagine that the day of the exam arrives and I cannot login...

If you are travelling to the People's Republic of China, you may run into issues with the Great Firewall. (Search that phrase on this site for recent discussions.)
