This is a great question! For schools that have enabled the feature and have granted permission, I knew that students could view analytics, but I didn't know whether or not their Observer(s) could.
How do I view my course analytics as a student?
After a little exploring, it is not possible to add the permission to view analytics using the Observer role. This is true even if the student can see their own data.
