[ARCHIVED] Can students be in multiple sections within a course?
We use the gradebook passback with PowerSchool so our course sections are generated from PowerSchool. However, I would like to create another section that only includes students who need modified assignments. If I create a new section and move these students into the new section, will any gradebook pass functionality be lost?
Hi Mary - If your SIS created the sections, it could get complicated for grade-sync if you make a new section. I'd talk to your local Canvas Administrator and discuss the pros and cons. I've made a new section but then transferred final grades into the students' original section for final grades, but where I teach, we only "collect" grades once per term.
