[ARCHIVED] Can't find register option in login page

I am looking for a self sign-up feature for my users (teachers and users). In the docs it shows there is a register option in the login page. I have deployed canvas in a test server and this is how my login page looks like.

I was able to add users through adding them to courses which enables the user to create usernames and passwords before enrolling to the course, but is there a way to make it so that a user can register first and then can choose a course to be enrolled.

I am new to canvas. Help will be appreciated

Hi  @hkoganti96 ‌ and welcome to the Canvas community!  I am wondering if you are looking for the feature called "Open Registration."  You can find this in the Canvas Admin Settings under the "Settings" tab.

Thanks Rebecca for the reply. I did have open registration checked. 

But your links helped me. I had to enable self registration in the settings. Now I am able to signup as a student and teacher with the correct join code
