I am unable to preview shared content shared directly with me by another teacher. I keep getting this error message when I click preview:
External Tool Content Can't be Previewed
In order to use this resource in Canvas, the external tool must be installed.
Any help is appreciated on how to get this to work. Thank you!

Was the shared content from a colleague at the same school? Or, was it shared by an instructor at another school? Also, do you know if the external LTI tool was installed at your school's Canvas account level? Or, was it installed in the instructor's course only? These are questions that you'll probably need get assistance from your school's local Canvas administrator or from someone in your school's Online Learning/eLearning department. If the external tool was only installed in one course, it would make sense that you could not use it in your own course. Again, speak to someone at your school to learn how this was all set up. @Chris_Hofer Yes, the shared content was from my colleague at the same school. The external LTI tool was installed for all of the courses for myself & my colleague. We both cannot preview anything that is sent between us. My School has referred me here for help.
I found that Importing the shared content into my Sandbox (or any course) allows me the view the Shared Content.
The Preview function just doesn't work.
Hi there! I wanted to check on this. I recently chatted with Canvas support, who let me know that this preview button is still broken for New Quizzes, and there are no plans to fix it. I'd like to suggest adding something about this broken feature to the guides somewhere--my guess is that there are several instructors out there who could benefit from using the Preview button with New Quizzes, but have to resort to importing the quiz every time because of this broken functionality.
