[ARCHIVED] Can't view modules in Student View

I have created seventeen modules for a course, and I have published the course.  A crossed out eye (visibility icon) appears next to the modules setting.  Everything appears to be set correctly under Settings / Navigation, i.e. the Modules are enabled.  Nothing I can do seems to get rid of the visibility icon, and within Student View I get the message that there is no content, which is false.  What am I doing wrong?  Thank you.

Hello @eheckerman ...

You stated that you can see a crossed-out eye icon next to the "Modules" course navigation button within your Canvas course.  This means that you either do not have any of your modules published or that your "Modules" button has not yet been enabled in your course.  Please double-check the following:

• Are each of your modules on your "Modules" index page published?  How do I publish or unpublish a module as an instructor?
• Is your "Modules" course navigation button enabled in your course?  How do I manage Course Navigation links?
