In light of the quick changes from in-person class to 100% online, I have to cancel group projects, which are worth up to 20% of the overall grade. Given this change, if I don't submit any grade in that "assignment" category, will that then "penalize" the students' overall grade? If not, is it because I don't enter any number digit for the project?

Hi @mvillega ,
I tried this out in a test course. I omitted grades for all graded content items (in my case the only associate assignment was the "Test" assignment) in an assignment group (Final Project, worth 20% of the overall grade) and it didn't have an effect on the student's overall grade. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out.
