I have setup Commons as detailed in the documentation for self hosted setup https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-4473-instructure-self-hosted-canvas-commons-setup . The first time I clicked on configure on the APP it followed all the right steps to login and i assumed it was going to work. However the commons link never showed up on the side bar and when I go back into configure for the APP it just says "oops! sorry, there is a problem in your Canvas/Commons configuration. Please notify your canvas administrator."
After this screen shows I can open the https://lor.instructure.com website in a browser and access commons that way, so it appears to be logging in but just not within Canvas.
I have tried removing the APP and developer keys and recreating them but still no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.

Tim
@itmanager , greetings! I know I’d heard of others having this problem so I did a quick search in the Community and found the following:
Setup Error with Self Hosted Canvas Commons
Self-Hosted Canvas Commons Setup Error
Can't install Canvas Commons on self hosted opensource deployment
It seems like this error has been around for a while and no one has been able to figure out what’s going on with it. My recommendation is to try and reach out to some of the others that have posted to see if they ever figured something out.
Hope this helps!
Kona
Thanks for the help Kona, unfortunately I have already been through these documents. I did find this document Google Groups where they mention having to get Instructure to reset something on their end but i'm not sure who to contact regarding this?
Regards
Tim
Good question! I’ll contact a Community Manager and see if they know who you can contact to help out with this.
Can you please send me your self hosted canvas url so that our engineering team can look into this further?
Have sent you an email with the link.
