Canvas Catalog, Is there an ability to receive an email alert or confirmation that someone has registered for a catalog course instead of pulling the analytic reports @catalog
You would need to create this by the API. There is only a notification to the enrollee.
Dear kmarengo,
We have continuous enrollment courses, so we need this too. Since Catalog doesn't currently offer it, we found a workaround. We created an assignment at the beginning of the course. A requirement was set so that students have to submit to it before they can continue. The course instructor has his notifications settings set to receive immediate notification for "All submissions". So at least he knows when someone has started the course.

DrEJMoore,
Thanks for the suggestion! I did look at this when I originally posted about this issue in 2021. It does list "course enrollments" under Administrative Notifications, but it doesn't seem to notify someone in the Teacher role when there is an enrollment. As Jessica stated above, it only notifies the enrollee. I just tested it again. I could not get it to work either then or now.
