The Instructure Community will enter a read-only state on November 22, 2025 as we prepare to migrate to our new Community platform in early December. Read our blog post for more info about this change.
From what I see, we need to import / download a course from Canvas Commons before we can see all course content. Is there a Canvas Commons preview mode that will allow us to see a course without first importing / downloading the course? If not, is a Canvas Commons preview mode a feature that will be available in the near future?
Thank you.
Robert

@rcartelli , right now Commons doesn't have preview functionality. Yet, I found a feature idea for this - - that has already been voted on and is in the "Gathering Information" stage - How does the voting process work for feature ideas? My recommendation is to comment on this feature idea as to why this feature would be helpful for you, vote for it, and follow it - that way you'll be notified of any future updates!

"Administrators in Commons can enable Resource Previews in Account Settings. This option allows users to preview resources in Commons from the Preview tab." (release note)
