Hi,
I am evaluating student engagement via Canvas Conference and looking at the statistics that have been provided. There is a column called 'Duration' in the statistics provided, and I have a question regarding what this measures - does this measure the time the student has logged in, or the time the student has participated (i.e. is not idle).
The reason why I am asking is that for some of my students, I can see that they have logged in from say, 9am to 11.30am, but their duration data says that they have been online for 5 minutes in total.
Appreciate any help / insights other users can provide.

I am the product manager for BigBlueButton. While I work at Blindside Networks, the company that provides hosting for Canvas Conferences to Instructure, and can't speak on behalf of Instructure, I can respond to your question.
The duration should be the total time that they were logged into the session.
