[ARCHIVED] Canvas Course Customization

Please. Please Canvas. Please allow students to choose from a much wider variety of colors when we are customizing our course cards. I completely rely on color to organize and when I cannot match the color for the course in my planner and on Canvas, it negatively affects my ability to keep up in my courses. I’m begging.

Hi @claircook 

You can actually do this already.  In the box next to the color chosen is a hex color code.  You can enter any hex color code you would like. Just google search for Hex color code you want to use.

Oh my gosh thank you so much. I can’t believe I haven’t figured that out in the last four years...college can teach you a lot, but apparently not everything

It is one of those hidden gems in Canvas.  It took me a couple of semesters to discover it.
