[ARCHIVED] Canvas Data - Tableau student eligibility report

Hello,

We have just recently had Canvas Data turned on for our school. We are evaluating Tableau at the same time. 

Does anyone know how to create a report in Tableau that allows us to see student eligibility? We have been using Canvas for 4 years and we have not found an easy way to see if students have high enough grades to be involved in after school activities. In this case, specifically sports.

Let's start with your school's definition of eligibility. Should be easy to translate that definition into a query from whichever tables hold the data needed.

 @mike_pritchard ‌ - yes, over time we put together a Tableau report using Canvas Data that shows current score in each course, number of zeros, missing assignments, date of last course activity, and more.   As for eligibility, a logic test can be applied within the Tableau workbook to enable creation of a filter so you can see at a glance eligible/ ineligible students.
