[ARCHIVED] Canvas Quiz not saving student progress

One of my students said he was working through a quiz, but lost all his work after deciding to log out after seeing notification that Canvas had automatically saved his progress. Might you know what caused this, and if there’s a way to retrieve that work? Thanks much.

Canvas does automatically save a students responses to a quiz, and if the student were to log back in to the quiz before the allotted time has expired or before the due date if not a timed quiz, then the student could continue where he left off.
If, when you review the student's submission and you find no attempt, then the student is pulling your leg. You can verify is the student attempted the quiz and experienced some technical issue by contacting your School's Canvas Admin, they can look at Page Views and verify if student started the quiz, left it, then attempted to re-enter the quiz. The Admin can also see the dates/times for these events.
