One of the Instructors at our institution noticed that the student response to the Numerical Quiz question contains more than 4 decimal places and being marked as incorrect.
In Classic Quizzes, you cannot enter a numeric answer with more than 4 decimal places. If you try to (as an instructor or a student), Canvas automatically rounds whatever you put to 4 decimal places. In this case, the student managed to submit answers that were accurate to 5 or 6 decimal places but they were marked incorrect because the instructor could only add the answer with up to 4 decimal places.
The student informed that the quiz was attempted using the Canvas App on an iPad Air.
I was also able to replicate the issue while taking the quiz using the Canvas Student App. Is this a known bug with the Student App or when will this be corrected?
