Hi Everyone! I work at 1-1 iPad School District and we have recently (last 2 weeks) have had issues with student annotations not saving, in the Canvas Student iOS App. We do have several tickets in with Canvas Support, but I was curious if anyone else has seen this behavior:
Video 1 (Original video sent to Canvas concerning annotations not saving).
Video 2 (Annotations save from accessing a PDF file from a Canvas Page, but not from a module. We did find that closing the app and then reopening the app was allowing for annotations to save)

I just saw that Canvas Student 6.6.11 was released today and the release notes mention "Fixed a bug that could cause annotations to not be saved." Maybe you can try this update with your students and see if it fixes the issue? Let us know what you find out!

Hi Ryan,
I just tested the new update on my iPad and it seems to fix the problem! I am going to test it on a few of our student iPads before we push it out to everyone. However a new problem as arise: Front Pages are not loading when I open a course:

Anyone else having this issue or know of a fix?

Hi Steve - We had many students report this to our Student Help Desk yesterday. We found that uninstalling and reinstalling the app fixed the issue. We pushed out the Canvas Student 6.6.11 update to all devices last night, and we hope that the newest app helps with the home pages too.

Hi Steve - This is something students where I teach have reported too. The Mobile Team at Instructure is aware of it and are actively working on a fix.
