Hi, Canvas Fans!
Does anyone know if Studio users can share a video quiz through Canvas Studio?
Thanks,

Hi @Chris_Hofer !
I noticed that the guide states:
I was hoping that someone knew a possible way around it.
Thanks for your reply 😎
Perhaps this works within the same institution. If you are sharing across commons between institutions (e.g. you're part-time faculty at two colleges) this doesn't work. I guess if I want to use the video quiz that I created at one college in the same class at my other college, I have to share the video (or just upload the .mp4 to my other Studio) and then recreate the quiz questions, from scratch! Bummer!!!!! I was getting really excited about video quizzes, but this makes me reluctant to use them in the future, knowing that I'll have to re-do so much work.
Good morning, @Canvastic ...
Yes, I believe this should be possible. Are you following the instructions in this Guide? How do I share media with a user in Canvas Studio? - Canvas Community

Oh, good catch! You are correct. In my haste to find a Guide for you, I failed to see that part in the blue box. My apologies.
All is good @Chris_Hofer ! Is it possible to suggest the idea( making video quizzes shareable) to the Studio engineers?
Thanks😎
Yes, you can create a new Feature Request at any time by clicking on the PRODUCT menu at the top of any screen here in the Community and then selecting IDEA CONVERSATIONS. You'll see a red "Suggest an idea" button on that page where you can start your idea (and it will also search for existing ideas based on keywords you type in). Hope this helps...
A workaround I figured out in the meantime is to make an assignment with the Studio Video Quiz and then you can share the assignment. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the idea!
I'll give it a try 😎👍

Yes, big-time bummer. Our instructional designers would like to create the video quizzes and share them with instructors (we use blueprints). With a tool like EdPuzzle, this is easy. Someone creates the quiz, it generates a code that can be shared with others who can import it to their class.
Hi All,
Is there an update to this feature? I have a teacher that would like to use a video quiz from another instructor in our subaccount. But when the video is shared the questions disappear. I was hoping that the feature to share the video with quiz questions would have been implemented by now since the last post was in 2021.
thanks
Hi @tina_christophe ...
No new updates that I am aware of. It doesn't seem as though Studio updates are as frequent as the monthly updates we get about the Canvas LMS. Here is a link to the releases for Canvas Studio:
You can see that the latest release was from the end of September.
Hope this helps a bit.
I would like to chime in here too. As an administrator, if someone shares a video with me that has a quiz attached I can see and use that quiz. I have tested with 5 other users in our institution that have varying levels of admin access and they can all see and use the quizzes. Why can't a teacher be able to use the quiz if that video, or a collection of videos, are shared with that user. Just like you cannot see the Canvas Commons until you are a teacher in the course, why can't Studio have the same type of permissions?
