I was able to embed the video as a quiz, however my students are telling me that it shows the loading symbol forever and the video does not load. This is the only way I found that I can see the students progress - seeing who watched the entire video and who just skipped around or did not watch the video at all. I would like to use this feature for grading, but if I have to just embed the video NOT as a quiz I cannot see who has viewed the video or how long they are watching it. Is anyone else having this issue of an embedded quiz not loading for students?

Hello @whitec3 ...

I'm a little confused when you say that if you embed a Canvas Studio video into your course that you cannot see the "Insights" of who watched the video...and for how long.  These "Insights" should always be available to you as the instructor ... no matter if you're including a quiz or not as part of the Studio video.  When you click on your "Studio" button on the left-hand side global navigation menu and then select the video, are you not able to see the "Insights" tab that shows this information?  How do I view user insights and analytics for media in Canvas Studio?  As you'll notice in this Guide, you may need to choose the course from a drop-down list after selecting that video so that you can see the "Insights" just for that course.

No I did not know this! When I embed it as a quiz I am able to see the Insights on that video in the course, but I did not know you could view it in studio.

I did find a solution to my problem though. If you embed a canvas studio video quiz with no questions- it will not load.
