In some instances such as students registering late for a course, I am adding them manually in the UI rather than via a csv import. I am having trouble assigning users their SIS ID this way, seeing no option when I add them and not being able to add it retroactively without changing their password. Any thoughts?

You should be able to edit the 'Login information' section and update just the SIS ID field. If the browser tries to auto-fill anything else, you should be able to remove it (leave the email address there). I just tried as a test and had no problem doing it in the UI.

That's exactly what I was referring to - the browser is trying to auto-fill a new password there. You can just delete the top password field and it should update just the SIS ID field.
