I'm sorry to hear that but it definitely sounds like something is going on with the browser. We would recommend verifying that it is up to date and then clear out the cache and cookies. I will include instructions on how to do this with a MAC and PC but if all else fails, try using a different supported browser to see if it behaves the same way and that will tell you if it is strictly that browser causing the issue.
