[ARCHIVED] Compress Zoom Video for Canvas

I completed a Zoom lecture but I'm unable to upload the video file to Zoom because it's too large. (I got the "Size of zoom_1.mp4 is greater than the maximum 500 MB allowed file size" message.) I believe I need to compress the file, but I'm not sure how. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for sharing your question. Usually the (best practice) recommendation is to not upload a MP4 video file into Canvas (due to file size). I would recommend uploading to a hosting site (like YouTube) and provide the link or embed the video in Canvas for others to view. If you do not want others who are not in the class to see the video, you would make it unlisted.
