[ARCHIVED] Course Template Application was Incomplete

I am attempting to use course templates for the first time in production (I have tested them occasionally over the past year). The problem is that -- after uploading a courses.csv containing 37 courses -- only around half are applying the template. I'm aware that there can be a delay in some cases, but I waited multiple days before checking again. I even tried deleting all of the course (via a SIS upload with status=deleted) and re-creating them, but arrived at the same results... only a portion have the template applied. Is this a common experience for others? If so, I may need to abandon course templates.

Quick update: The "Import Course Content" page for each of the courses that did not apply the template has an error message saying, "Error running course export." There's no rhyme or reason to which courses experienced this error, and which ones didn't.

Hi @MattLisle,

Did you by any chance upload that csv file on Friday, June 3?  There was an issue with import/export jobs for a few hours that day that may have caused something like what you are seeing.

Thanks Chris... It was June 3, however the timing doesn't line up. The errors were occurring at 6:57 PM -- well after the issue was resolved. Also, I didn't have any trouble with the SIS Import... just with the application of the course template.

That said, I tried again this morning using our production instance (whereas I was using our test instance on June 3) and didn't have any issues.

So it either has something to do with test v prod, or was related to the June 3 issue, or some other unknown reason.

I'd still be curious to hear if anyone else has experienced something similar with course templates.
