[ARCHIVED] Creating Assignments without actually assigning them

I like to create quizzes &/or assignments either for future use or to just explore ideas for present or future use. However, every time I do, I have to put a due date on them & they automatically get put on the 'to do" list and many students complete them when I do not want them to AND they get pushed to powerschool with zeros for other students. Is there a way to prevent this??

Hello @jakdlk ...

When you save your quizzes or assignment for the first time, are you also publishing them right away?  If so, why not just keep them unpublished until you are ready to let students complete them?  That would prevent your students from doing that work earlier than you'd like them to.  Just a thought...
