[ARCHIVED] Different assignment due dates for different students

A teacher has an assignment that a students will work on over a period of time however, the due date is different for each student.  Can this be done in Canvas?  

ie; A project is assigned to students (has 5 different assignments in the project) and is due at the end of March.  The project has 5 parts each student will work on over the time period.  The students work on the 5 parts at different times.  Some students will work on Part 1, some on Part 2, some on Part 3, etc for this week.  So that means Part 1 is due on Friday of this week for the students working on that part.  Part 2 is due for the other students, and Part 3 for that group, etc.  All 5 parts will need to be completed by the end of March.  Is there any way to put different due dates for these assignments for the different students depending on the Part they are working on each week?  Basically, the student rotate thru all 5 of the assignments eventually.

 @schachernp ‌, this can be accomplished pretty easily in Canvas using the differentiated due date feature. The following guide explains how to do this - https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-2642 The only difference is that instead of just assigning it to one individual student, the Instructor would follow the same directions to assign the same assignment to each student, just with a different due date. Does this make sense/help?

I am looking to assign unique due dates for each student as well, but I will have about 800 students, so assigning each due date manually isn't feasible. Is there a way to assign each student's due date by uploading a spreadsheet or something similar?

Circumstance did not allow us to test this today.  My apologies.  I am hopeful we can try this tomorrow however, it definitely looks like it has potential to do what they need it to do.  Thank you so much for all of the input!  I will post an update tomorrow.  Thanks again!

We did actually finally get to use this and it does work!!  Thanks so much for the info and so sorry about the delay in responding!  We had a rough 5 days and time was very limited in trying this solution!  Thanks again!!
