The Instructure Community will enter a read-only state on November 22, 2025 as we prepare to migrate to our new Community platform in early December. Read our blog post for more info about this change.
We had a report that a discussion board meant to close at 1159pm this past Sunday, March 13, the first day of Daylight Savings Time, closed one hour early. Has anyone else had reports of this? Or is there an outstanding issue with Mountain Time vs. Pacific? (We are in PST/PDT.) Thanks for any info, we're hoping this in not an ongoing issue, as we are now into Finals!

Thanks @kona I believe this was due to a bug that was fixed this weekend, Discussion Board Until Dates set to Mountain Time. I'm guessing they set the Until Time up prior to Saturday's update, and didn't notice it was set to MST instead of PST. It took a while to get additional info from the instructor reporting this.
So nevermind folks! No DST problem!
Thanks as always to our community.
@fosterl , we are in central time and experienced the time change, but didn't have any problems with things closing early. Have you contacted Canvas Support about this? Normally they'd be the best ones to let you know what happened and whether this is an ongoing issue.
