Hello,
I have a question about whether or not canvas can still count hours of login time if you click out of the browser or if the cursor is outside of the browser? Like I have a film class where you have to watch films and take notes. I would watch the film on canvas on the Chrome browser for example, and I would go on Word Doc and type my notes there. My professor however keep track of login times to see whether we’re watching the films or not. But I don’t know if I have to be actively on the browser canvas is on for it to count the numbers of hours I have logged in and watching films with.
Thank you!
Good morning, @schoolypete ...
As far as I know, if you are signed in to Canvas in your web browser and remain on any course page, it will still log your time even if you are working on something else on your computer (such as a Word document). If you close your browser or log out, then your Canvas logged time would stop unil you log in again.
Hope this helps a bit! Take care, stay safe, and be well.
