How do I download an excel file with my students' names and emails?

Hi Kate,

Provided your school uses the student's email address as their login ID, one way I know to do this is by downloading the details from the gradebook. There is a great guide on this at How do I export grades from the Gradebook?

If the email address is used as the login, that comes in the csv as the login_id.

Hi kami3368,  @stuart_ryan  provided the best way I know of to get what you are looking for from Canvas directly.  I thought I would add that at my institution we have a portal for our student information system that instructors can log in to.  There is an option in our SIS interface where a roster similar to what you describe can be accessed.  If the gradebook export Stuart mentioned doesn't work, perhaps someone at your institution can provide details on other options.
