You will want to use assignment groups https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10149-415241291
and create a rule to drop the lowest 1 score. How do I create rules for an assignment group?
You don't have to weigh the groups if it doesn't fit with your grading calculations, but putting them in groups is helpful for dropping the lowest score (and also viewing all the assignments of 1 type in the Gradebook).
