If I upload Google Slides or Power Point slides for students to edit and submit for a grade, does each student get an individual copy of the slides? If not how are others handling this situation?

Hello, Theressa! There are a couple of ways to do this. If you use a Google Cloud Assignment with a premade Google slide, each student will get their own copy to edit (which they can do right in Canvas or in Google). Here is a Canvas Guides entry on that. They would just then hit submit to turn it in within Canvas.
The other option with a Google slide is to set the slide sharing to view only for your domain, and then give the students that link, but change "edit?usp=sharing" at the end of the link to "copy". This will force them to make a copy for their own editing. They will need to submit that slide through Canvas, then.
I hope that helps!
